Piła nożna w Stanach *** Soccer in the States

O co chodzi? Ano, mistrzostwa świata w piłce nożnej na dobre zaczęły się już w dalekiej Afryce Południowej, ale to wydarzenie globalne, które dotyczy także JuEsEj. Piła jest może na szóstym, może na ósmym miejscu najpopularnijszych sportów w Stanach, ale zdarzyło sie tak, że to właśnie Seattle jest centrum piłki, z potężnym stadionem oraz 180 tysiącami juniorów w klubach w stanie Waszyngton, a co za tym idzie w Seattle jest całe mnóstwo fanów tego sportu. No i nas trafiło - w sobotę wylądowaliśmy w przepełnionym pubie próbując znaleźć 30x30 cm miejsca stojącego, żeby obejrzeć ogromnie oczekiwany mecz USA-Anglia. Udało się i pomimo początkowego poczucia niewygody oraz niesamowitego hałasu mecz był sporym przeżyciem (Daryl stracił głos na jakiś czas:). Także z powodu obecności w pubie jednego jedynego angielskiego fana, co uczyniło całe przedstawienie kibicowania nieco groteskowym - kiedy on się cieszył, klaskał i skakał, reszta miała doła i na odwrót:))

What is going on..? Well, soccer world championship has fully started in far South Africa, but it is global event concerning also USA. Soccer is maybe the sixth, maybe the eighth most popular sport in the States but it happened so that Seattle is American centre for soccer, with huge stadium and 180 thousand juniors in clubs all over Washington State and in consequence - there are a lot of soccer fans here. We became fans too - on Saturday morning we found ourselves in overcrowded pub, trying to find 2x2 feet of standing space to see highly anticipated match USA-England. We made it and in spite of not very comfortable conditions the match was a lot of fun and emotions (Daryl lost his voice for a while:). Also because there was one English fan in the pub, which made the whole party even more interesting - when he jumped and clapped everyone else had depression and the other way round:))
